Arvada West High School
The project consisted of demolishing the existing structure and constructing a new ultra-modern 234,000 square foot high school in two phases for Jefferson County Public Schools. The site plan blended the new school and improvements within the existing school site and framework.
Civil improvements also included ancillary buildings, student and teacher parking lots, drive lanes, athletic fields, tennis courts, pedestrian and gathering areas, adjacent street improvements, stormwater facilities, landscaping improvements, and retrofiting/modifying existing utilities to integrate with the new school. The existing Galleria Building was retained and integrated into the new school site plan as a standalone facility.
Project cost was $25.5 million and was completed in December 2008.
